人間の様々な内的ドラマを身体で表現することから「思考する身体の芸術」と呼ばれるコーポリアルマイムは、役者が自らのアイディアを具体化するための体系的なテクニックを紹介すると共に、戯曲主体の演劇とは根本的に質の異なるレパートリー作品や創作プロセスを有しており、身体の創造性から具体化される役者主体の演劇のあり方を提示しています。

 

このワークショップは舞台上での身体表現やカラダを使った演じ方に興味のある方にオススメのプログラムです。コーポリアルマイムをやったことがある方も、初めての方も個人のレベルに合わせて「ドラマを演じるカラダ」に対する知識と技術力を高めていきます。

【当日の服装＋持ち物】

 

・動きやすい格好であればなんでも構いませんが、鏡を使ったレッスンとなりますので、身体のラインが見やすいものをお勧めします。

・レッスンは素足もしくはジャズシューズなどの踵の低い靴で受講して下さい。

・水分をお持ちください。

▷巣山賢太郎（すやまけんたろう） 

群馬県出身　tarinainanika代表

Steven WassonとCorinne Soum（エティエンヌ・ドゥクルーの最後のアシスタント）に13年間師事。文化庁芸術家在外研修員として、コーポリアルマイム舞台演出家・教育者養成コースを修了。劇団Theatre de l’Ange Fouの主要メンバーとして世界各国で公演すると同時に、ロンドン国際コーポリアルマイム学校において、生徒の指導と育成にあたる。18年間の英国滞在を経て帰国。2011年にタニア・コークと共にtarinainanikaを結成し、コーポリアルマイムを継承する第三世代のアーティストとして、クリエーションとエデュケーションを軸に国内外で活動を展開している。2020年からは自ら運営する大阪市東成区のアトリエFLYING CARPET FACTORYにおいて「コーポリアルマイム舞台芸術学校」を運営している。

 

▷Tania Coke（タニア・コーク） 

英国出身　tarinainanika co-director

英国オックスフォード大学卒業後、ビジネスコンサルタントとして活躍。その後、ロンドン国際コーポリアルマイム学校において、Steven WassonとCorinne Soumに８年間師事。同校にて舞台演出・教育者育成コース修了。Theatre de l’Ange Fouに所属し、学校では指導と育成にあたる。現在は、巣山賢太郎と共にアーティスト活動に従事しながら、メディエーター、ビジネスコミュニケーションのトレーナーとしても活動しており、現代社会における身体及びアートの有用性を訴えている。

“The Art of the Thinking Body”  - 2 day workshop in Corporeal Mime

 

Corporeal Mime is an approach to theatre based on the body. It was first developed by Etienne Decroux in early 20th century France. It has its own distinctive technique, repertoire, creative processes and teaching methods. By studying Corporeal Mime you will gain practical tools to create drama out of action, and to express thoughts and feelings through your body. This 2-day workshop is a rare chance to learn with tarinainanika, the Corporeal Mime specialists from Osaka. 

 

The workshop is ideal for anyone interested in theatre and physical expression. Whether or not you already have experience of Corporeal Mime, we will help you hone your technical and creative skills according to your individual needs.

▼What to wear

 

Please wear clothes that are easy to move in. We recommend clothing that shows the lines of your body (i.e. not too baggy) and either bare feet or shoes with no heels such as jazz shoes.

 

▼About tarinainanika

 

tarinainanika is a theatre company specialising in Corporeal Mime. Directors Kentaro Suyama and Tania Coke studied in London with Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum, last assistants of the founder of Corporeal Mime, Etienne Decroux. In 2010 they moved to Japan and set up tarinainanika. The are based at the Flying Carpet Factory in Osaka where they also run the Corporeal Mime School of Performing Arts which offers full time professional training in Corporeal Mime. tarinainanika’s productions include Tokyo Fugue, Coffee & I, The Same Boat and Rey Camoy. They have presented their work at festivals and venues across Japan and internationally such as Theater X (Tokyo), Geijutsu Souzoukan ( Osaka), Cockpit Theatre (London),  Manggha Museum (Krakow), Edinburgh Fringe, Sydney Fringe etc.

▷Kentaro Suyama

Director, tarinainanika and the Corporeal Mime School of Performing Arts

 

Born in Gunma prefecture, Kentaro Suyama studied at the International School of Corporeal Mime in London under the direction of Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum. During this time he was awarded a scholarship by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs to continue his studies with a post-graduate teaching and directing degree. He later became Wasson and Soum’s teaching assistant and lead actor in their company, Theatre de l’Ange Fou. Today his primary commitment is teaching and directing at the Flying Carpet Factory. He is also regularly invited to teach and direct for theatre companies and schools across Japan. He also works as a translator and business communications trainer. 

 

▷Tania Coke

 Director, tarinainanika and the Corporeal Mime School of Performing Arts

 

Originally from the UK, Tania Coke studied at Oxford University and began a career as a management consultant before discovering Corporeal Mime. In 2002 she began full-time study at the International School of Corporeal Mime. After gaining her diploma and post-graduate teaching and directing degree, she joined Wasson and Soum’s Theatre de l’Ange Fou and began teaching in their school. Now based in Osaka she is involved in day-to-day teaching and directing at the Flying Carpet Factory and gives online workshops for people across the globe. She is also a qualified mediator, a business communications trainer and Japan Ambassador for the Royal Society of Arts.
